Brian Trimmer
Brian Trimmer was self employed in the hospitality industry
from 1974 to 1988. He owned and operated hotels in Northland.
Brian established an Insurance Brokerage with Grant
Adams in May 1988 to form Adams Trimmer Insurance Ltd.
Brian enjoys assisting clients with their various insurance
requirements. |
Grant Adams
Grant Adams began his insurance career in 1964 joining
NZI in Whangarei from school. In 1975 he joined Royal
Insurance in Gisborne and became local manager for Royal
& Sun Alliance Whangarei in 1979. In 1988, with
Brian Trimmer, they established their own broking house.
Because insurance is a people business, Grant has many
friends and acquaintances throughout New Zealand and
enjoys assisting clients and friends with all aspects
of insurance. |
David Wech
David has been involved in the Insurance & Finance industry
for the past 12 years. In his time in the industry he
gained the title of Senior Associate from the Insurance
Institute. He progressed from the basic insurance programmes
for domestic policies right through to the large corporate
multi-million dollar commercial risks.
David has a keen interest in all sports. He represented
Northland in both rugby league and rugby at age group
level. These days however a touch field and golf course
suit him fine. |
Bill Irvine
Bill Irvine joined Adams Trimmer Insurance Brokers in
1996 as their personal risk representative. Adams Trimmer
could see potential growth in this area alongside their
well established F&G. The personal risk area covers
Life, Medical & Trauma insurances as well as the
ever important Income Protection. Bills fresh approach
to this area of insurance has really helped make Adams
Trimmer Insurance a one stop insurance brokerage. |
Janene Thurgood
Having worked in the Insurance industry in Auckland
for 16 years, Janene joined Adams Trimmer Insurance
in 1995.
Janene is responsible for the day-to-day running of
the office. Enjoying a challenge, Janene also takes
responsibility for the claims ensuring that they are
handled promptly by the Underwriters. |
Tania Williams
Tania has worked in the insurance industry since 1986 in a variety of roles for State Insurance, NRMA Sydney and GAB Robins Insurance Assessors. She has dealt with all aspects of insurance: domestic, commercial, specialised claims, debt recovery, claims assessing and broker liaison.

Ula Botha
Ula worked in the insurance industry in South-Africa as an Independent Financial Planner, joining our team in 2008. She enjoys assisting the clients with their various insurance requirements, specializing with the domestic portfolios. She also likes to discuss rugby… |
Diane Crawford
Diane is in charge of our finance company, Manaia Finance, providing financial support and credit control. Diane has an extensive financial / accounting background having worked for a variety of companies in both Auckland and Whangarei. |
